Simple and trendy lac bangles in vibrant pink shades , will go with western and Indian clothes as well.Size:Lac Bangles : Lac bangles were traditionally worn by married women on festive occasions, and were considered auspicious. These bangles are made out of Lac, which is actually a resinous substance, secreted by an insect called kerria lacca. The process: Firstly the resinous substance secreted by the insect is, thoroughly washed a number of times to remove all impurities. The lac pieces are then, heated and reach a half molten form. Required colour and powders are added . This half formed mixture is then put on gradually heated over an angethi, and pressed with a wooden instrument called Hattha, when it is sufficiently malleable, the desired colours are added . The clay like mixture is then carefully given the shape of a bangle and solidified. The process of adding the design and sequins and precious stones is a painstaking one and requires great expertise.
