Social Impact: These toys have been produced by the rural communities of Kumaun Himalaya, mainly by the women. Your funds are abetted for a good cause by the NGO, Chirag, which works closely with these artisans providing them an assured acceptable wage, which proves to be a great support apart from their unstable agricultural incomes. This has also helped the women community and those who have no other form of income, to become independent and selfreliant. Chirag has set up a rural school, which has been in operation since 2004, and an eightbed community hospital in its project area for them. This NGO is dedicated to the overall development of Kumaon communities.
