Region: Nagaland. Nagaland is located in the extreme north eastern part of India. Typically characterised by the clan traditions and tribal loyalties of the people who are called 'nagas'.

Nagaland is well known for its weaving culture, each clan has its own special designs and patterns and make beautiful home decor and apparel with this art which is unique to Nagaland is inherited by generations down the line.

Loin Looms: Weaving by loin looms is a typical activity done by the tribal people of Nagaland. it is one of the oldest and forms of weaving, here the weaver's body is actually attached to the loom and the weaving is manual with no help from any machine. It involves, winding a warp according to the required design and weaving. The design is specific and unique to each tribe, who have their own designs often named after their tribe.

Social Impact: At Craftsvilla we are dedicated to supporting the artisans, who have preserved our rich and diverse heritage and culture and are now finding it difficult to sustain it.
