"""OKHAI"" is a registered trust working towards women empowerment.The Okhaimandal region of Gujarat is drought prone & with 70% of livelihood being dependent on agriculture,it becomes imperative to develop an alternate source of income.Mirror work,patch work & embroidery are all vibrant expressions of the way of life of the tribals of this region.Hence with the support & guidance of TCSRD-Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development,""OKHAI"" the Applique handicraft of these communities of OKhaimandal has been created.This handicraft project has made difference to the lives of these rural women.It not only makes the women wage earners,but also spreads awareness about the tradtional craft of this region,thus helping us to preserve a rich part of our natural cultural heritage. Ladies garments are made by the rural women of Okhamandal,near Jamnagar,Gujarat. Presently around 300 women are benefitted from this program. We offer a wide range of products like ladies wear long/short kurtas, ladies kurtis, dupattas, stoles, bags, corporate gifts like files, coasters, furnishings like bed covers,cushion covers,wall hangings etc."
